A short time ago, I was asked by a good friend of mine what the most enchanting thing to do on a trip in Sharm. He was preparing to pop the question to his girlfriend on a future holiday break and not surprisingly planned to find the very best location.

Of the many things I love, nature ranks among the top. Flowers in particular, I hold dear to my heart. With the cooperation of Mother Nature's cultivating care, and the gentle labor of a gardener's hands, great miracles are created among us. And so, I decided to visit the Butchart Gardens in British Columbia.

It is worry time when it gets dark out in the open. When it is time to sleep, one yearns for the cozy bed and the safe confines of your home. But out there in the open, there is also the insects, the wind and often the precipitation to contend with. This is when the sleeping bag drives all your anxieties away and you can settle down to a peaceful sleep. Sleeping bag has a pride of place in the list of camping equipments. A sleeping bag is something akin to a folded blanket that has a zipper. It can be rolled or folded, stuffed in a sack and carried in your backpack.

Robert Butchart bought land due to its richness in limestone quarries now known as the Butchart Gardens. He started his own Portland cement company and saved money due to the fact that he mined his own limestone instead of purchasing it. In 1904 Mr. Butchart and his wife Jenny decided to make their home here as well. They built a grand home which eventually grew to include a bowling alley, a richly panel laden billiard room and an indoor pool filled with salt water which was rare at the time. After the quarry was used up Jenny decided to move in soil from local farms and make it into a sunken type of garden.
